Unterschied Kajal / Eyeliner

Difference between Kajal and Eyeliner

Are you wondering what the actual difference between an Eyeliner and a Kajal is? And where each is applied? You’ll find out in this blog post.

Kajal on the lower lash line

A Kajal refers to a line on the lower lash line. Kajal pencils usually have a denser consistency than Eyeliner, meaning they can be hard, soft, or creamy, but are generally not liquid. Because drawing a line on the lower lash line with a liquid product is very difficult due to the lower lashes.

When you emphasize your lower lash line with a Kajal, your eyes gain more contour downward, giving your eye area more expression.

Expert tip: Don’t draw the Kajal line all the way to the inner corner of your eye; leave the front third of your eye free. This beautifully emphasizes your outer eye corner and visually gives your eyes a lovely almond shape.

White Kajal on the lower waterline – an exception!

The white Kajal is an exception. It’s perfect for visually enlarging your eyes. Apply the Kajal in strokes along the lower waterline. Since this area is often very moist, we recommend applying the white Kajal line twice – this way it lasts all day.

Eyeliner on the upper lash line

An Eyeliner refers to a line on the upper lash line. The Eyeliner is applied directly along the upper lash line. With an eyeliner line, you can draw attention to your upper lashes.

Expert tip: If you’ve chosen a dark color as Eyeliner, don’t draw it all the way to the inner corner of your eye; leave the front third of your eye free. Alternatively, you can choose a light color as a line for the front third of your eye, which makes your eye appear larger and more radiant.

Kajal on the upper waterline – Tightlining

You can also use Kajal on the upper waterline (tightlining). This makes your lashes appear visually denser. However, it takes a bit of practice because it tickles a little and makes you blink quickly.

If you want to try it, be sure to use a black Kajal pencil. It perfectly matches black Mascara and makes your lashes look visually denser.

The COSLINE Kajal / Eyeliner can – as the name suggests – be used both as Kajal and as Eyeliner. For beginners, it’s easier to use a Kajal pencil as Eyeliner because it’s easier to correct than, for example, a liquid Eyeliner. Also, you can blend a Kajal pencil better as Eyeliner if you want a softer line.

So kannst du anschließend wieder ganz feine Striche ziehen :) Liebe Grüße, dein COSLINE Team
