Make-up after 40: emphasize your natural beauty
Your skin changes over the years, and that's completely normal and beautiful! From the age of 40, you'll notice that your facial skin reacts a little differently than it used to. For example, it can become a little oilier, which means that the delicate skin around the eyes becomes softer over time and drooping eyelids can slowly develop.
We would like to present you with some inspiring tips that can help you to fully enjoy and emphasize your unique beauty. With these suggestions, you can emphasize your radiant, healthy appearance even more and feel completely comfortable in your own skin. Let's rediscover the joy of makeup together and celebrate your natural beauty at any age!
eyeliner with wing
Almost all women over 40 know the problem: As the years go by, the eyelid is no longer as beautiful as it was a few years ago. The eyelids become a little more wrinkled and the excess skin covers the eyelid (droopy eyelids). But that doesn't mean that you can't draw a beautiful eyeliner with a wing!
In this video we show you how to easily create a beautiful eyeliner with wing:

Tip 1
eyeshadow primer
From around the age of 40, the skin on your face gradually becomes a little oilier. The first wrinkles become more visible and the skin, especially around the eyes, is no longer as firm. This means that eye make-up no longer stays on as well.
Be sure to use an eyeshadow primer (eg Shadow Base ). You can simply apply this to the eyelid with your finger. This way your eyeshadow will last much longer and will not settle in the crease. This is a very good make-up technique to combat the onset of drooping eyelids.
The shadow base has a glittery texture, so it can also be used as a subtle eye shadow.

Tip 2
concealer
Use a concealer to lighten dark circles under your eyes. Don't use too much, though: 3 dots under your eyes are enough. If your skin is very oily, dab the concealer a little with a tissue so that it doesn't settle into the wrinkles.
For a lifting effect, apply a little concealer to the outer corner of the eye and spread the color upwards with your finger. This covers up reddened areas and visually lifts the eye area upwards.
You can also apply some concealer under the eyebrow, which lifts the eye area, especially if you have droopy eyelids.
Tip 3
mascara
If you have long lower eyelashes, we recommend that you do not apply mascara. This would put the focus on the lower eye area, where a few wrinkles are already forming and this visually pulls everything downwards.
Instead, use a slightly darker eyeliner ( e.g. Eyeliner Aubergine 129 ) for the lower lash line and only apply mascara to your upper lashes, which will optically lift the eye upwards.
However, there are exceptions: Be sure to apply mascara to your lower lashes if you have very light lashes or rather short lower lashes.
