How to apply makeup properly when you're over 30 to look even fresher.
In this video, Lisa shows you a few makeup tips and tricks that you should know when you're over 30, so that you immediately look fresher and more radiant. This way, you'll always have the perfect makeup for work and everyday life.
1. Even skin is the be-all and end-all!
It is important for women over 30 to have beautiful, well-cared-for skin. If your skin is uneven, for example if you have redness or small spots, you should use a good foundation . Make sure that it looks natural and not too mask-like.

How to apply your make-up:
Start by covering any areas that bother you. Apply the make-up in spots and dab it in. After that you can spread the make-up over your whole face. It's best to start from the centre of the face and blend the make-up outwards. Don't forget to blend the make-up down onto the neck so that no lines form.
If there are still areas of your face that bother you, you can dab them again with a little make-up. What you should definitely not do is use a concealer on red patches and small spots. Concealer is usually a shade lighter than your skin tone, and if you apply it to your spots they'll stand out even more, because anything you make lighter comes forward visually.
Dark shadows under the eyes, on the other hand, can be covered very well with a concealer. The skin under the eyes is usually a little darker and a bit of concealer evens that area out nicely. Apply 3 small dots under the eyes and dab them in with your fingers. Important: don't use too much product, because less is more!
With your concealer, make sure it lasts all day and doesn't settle. Many women over 30 already have fine laughter lines around the eyes, and the concealer shouldn't settle into them. Our concealer is perfect for this, because it lasts all day without settling.
Extra tip: don't put too much cream around the eye area before using concealer. The skin shouldn't be too greasy or oily before you apply make-up. So gently blot the area around the eyes with a tissue beforehand, to remove any residue.
2. Eye makeup
If you want to draw eyeliner, don't use black. Black looks too harsh and makes your eyes look smaller. A good alternative is a brown or anthracite shade or our best-selling shade Eyeliner Aubergine 129 , which is a little lighter but still expressive and highlights your eyes beautifully.
Apply the eyeliner in lines along your upper lash line, but don't pull it all the way to the front. The main goal is to thicken your lash line.
To create a beautiful color gradient, you can now apply the Eyeshadow Golden Sand 301 to the inner corner of the eye and slightly above the eyeliner.
Of course, all you need to achieve a great look is mascara . This opens up your eyes and makes them look bigger and more awake.
3. Accentuate your lips!
For your lips, we recommend using a neutral lipstick or lip liner, as the focus of this look is on the eyes.
But of course you can also use red lipstick, for example.
4. Fresh complexion
To complete the look, you can now use some sun powder.
Apply the powder to your cheeks and blend it downwards. This will give your face a touch of freshness.
