When you're over 60, you know what you want and what you don't want, you've tried a lot in your life and therefore you know what suits you. But you can still be curious and discover new, exciting things. That keeps you young and fit.
The first tip for makeup after 60 is: less is more! It's not about using a lot of cosmetic products, but rather the right products with good quality that you can rely on 100%. Here we have put together a few tips for you on how to apply beautiful makeup when you're over 60:

EYE MAKEUP
Be brave and try something new and colorful, it will make you look younger and fresher. Bright colors make your eyes shine. Depending on your eye color, you can match the eye shadow to it. Cosline eyeshadows have a practical pencil shape and are therefore very easy to apply.
A kohl pencil makes the eyes instantly more expressive. The color should not be drawn to the inner corner of the eye, but only about 2/3 of the lower lash line and emphasize the outer corner of the eye. This makes the eye almond-shaped and gives it a beautiful form. Here, too, you can use bright colors such as blue or green. If you prefer more subtle colors, we recommend the colors gray , aubergine or brown . Do not use black kohl/eyeliner, as it makes your eyes smaller and looks too harsh.

Frische Kajal / Eyeliner Farben für reife Augen
Ein Kajalstrich am unteren Wimpernkranz sorgt zusätzlich für Ausdruck – am besten nur am äußeren Augenwinkel und entlang von etwa zwei Dritteln des unteren Wimpernkranzes auftragen. Das öffnet den Blick, macht das Auge optisch mandelförmig und wirkt schmeichelhaft. Verzichte auf tiefschwarzen Kajal, da er die Augen kleiner wirken lässt und oft zu hart erscheint.

Schlupflider kaschieren
Um ein Schlupflid optisch zu kaschieren, reicht oft schon ein Hauch von Lidschatten – gerade so viel, dass er wie ein sanfter Schatten wirkt. Wähle dafür einen warmen Braunton. Braun wirkt weich und natürlich, passt zu jeder Augenfarbe und lässt sich leicht mit anderen Farben kombinieren.
Setze die Farbe nicht direkt auf das bewegliche Lid, sondern ein kleines Stück darüber – genau dort, wo beim entspannten Blick das Lid vom oberen Hautüberschuss verdeckt wird. So ist der Schatten auch bei geöffnetem Auge sichtbar. Beginne am äußeren Augenwinkel, arbeite dich bis etwa zur Mitte des Lids vor und verblende die Übergänge sanft nach oben und außen. Achte darauf, nicht über die gedachte Linie vom äußeren Augenwinkel zur Augenbraue hinaus zu malen. Dieser sanfte Schatten lässt das Schlupflid optisch zurücktreten und das Auge frischer und offener wirken.
AUGENBRAUEN RICHTIG BETONEN
Die Augenbrauen geben den Rahmen für deine Augen vor und sind daher sehr wichtig. Umso älter man wird, desto weniger werden die Härchen in den Augenbrauen. Sie werden zudem heller und man sieht sie kaum noch. Daher ist es bei einem Make-Up ab 60 besonders wichtig die Augenbrauen zu betonen. Ein paar wertvolle Tipps rund um Augenbrauen, bekommst du hier:

The right form
Make sure that you always emphasize your eyebrows naturally, always taking your own eyebrow shape as a guide. It may be that you already have some gaps in your eyebrows or that they have generally become a bit thinner. If you want to fill in your eyebrows, it is important that you only fill in the upper area - this visually lifts the eyes. If you were to fill in the lower area of your eyebrows, it would push your eye area downwards.
You can easily conceal gaps in your eyebrows by applying the eyebrow pencil to exactly those spots. Make sure that you only apply the color in strokes without applying too much pressure. Try holding the pencil a little to the side and applying little pressure. After applying, be sure to spread the color lightly with your finger so that the color lies nicely on the skin and hairs and it looks completely natural.

The color of the eyebrow pencil
For women over 60, the color of the eyebrow pencil is especially important. Even if your eyebrows are already gray, do not use a gray, dark brown or even black eyebrow pencil. That would make you look older and you want to look younger and fresher.

Tip 3
concealer
Use a concealer to lighten dark circles under your eyes. Don't use too much, though: 3 dots under your eyes are enough. If your skin is very oily, dab the concealer a little with a tissue so that it doesn't settle into the wrinkles.
For a lifting effect, apply a little concealer to the outer corner of the eye and spread the color upwards with your finger. This covers up reddened areas and visually lifts the eye area upwards.
You can also apply some concealer under the eyebrow, which lifts the eye area, especially if you have droopy eyelids.
