How to shape, pluck and apply makeup to your eyebrows
Eyebrows are an important part of your face. They frame your eye area, which directly emphasizes your eyes. The focus is placed on the eyes by the eyebrows, and that’s exactly what you want. Still, the eyebrows should only be subtly emphasized to achieve a natural look. In the following tips, you’ll learn how to subtly enhance your eyebrows so they look natural and last all day.
Plucking Eyebrows
Before you apply eyebrow makeup, you should first pluck your eyebrows into the right shape. The following three tips will help you with plucking:
1. If you pluck your eyebrows right after showering, the hairs come out more easily and the pain is less.
2. Good lighting is very important to see even the smallest hairs.
3. After plucking, your skin needs time to recover and the hair follicle needs to close again, so you should not apply makeup immediately after plucking. It’s best to pluck your eyebrows when you have a bit more time.
Eyebrow Shape
The right eyebrow shape is crucial both for plucking and for applying makeup. This can be easily measured with a ruler or a pencil (e.g., the Eyebrow Pencil Chocolate 121).
For the right shape of your eyebrow, you should keep the following points in mind:
The first question is: Where does my eyebrow begin? To find out, place your eyebrow pencil at the indentation of your nostril. The pencil should now point straight up and form a line with your inner eye corner. Your eyebrow should start exactly where the pencil is.
An eyebrow looks especially beautiful and natural when the first two-thirds of the brow rises and the last third slopes down. The highest point created forms a diagonal line with the outer side of your nose. This line should pass diagonally through your iris. You can easily check this with the eyebrow pencil.
Finally, place the eyebrow pencil against the side of your nose so that it forms a line with the outer corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end exactly at this angle.
Applying Eyebrow Makeup
With an eyebrow pencil it is important that you don’t hold the pencil like a regular pencil and draw straight on the eyebrow. That would apply too much color. Hold the pencil sideways and apply the color that way. This technique lets you finely control how much color you apply to the hairs.
First emphasize the hairs
For a natural look, the first step is to emphasize the hairs, not the skin underneath. This step is especially important if you have blonde or gray hairs in between. Apply the color against the direction of the hairs, starting at the back.
Then straighten the hairs again with your finger, and you will see a difference. The eyebrow is lightly emphasized and the hairs are a bit darker.
Fill in gaps
Now you just need to fill in the gaps in your eyebrows. Hold the pencil sideways again and apply the color lightly to your skin with little pressure. It is important that you only fill in the natural shape of your eyebrow. Therefore, emphasize only the lower part of your eyebrow for a very natural look. If you emphasize the upper part of your eyebrow with color or draw beyond your natural eyebrow, it creates a very striking look.
If you noticed at the beginning when measuring your eyebrows that they are a bit too short at the front or back, you can subtly extend them with the eyebrow pencil. Finally, blend the color with a finger by lightly stroking over your eyebrow, and you’re done.
Your eyebrows are now subtly emphasized and your eyes have gained more expression.
Light blonde eyebrows:
Even for light blonde eyebrows, the Eyebrow Pencil Chocolate 121 is very suitable. The step of first emphasizing the hairs is especially important. Apply the color with light pressure on the hairs, which darkens and naturally highlights them. If you want, you can then lightly trace the eyebrows so that color is also applied to the skin beneath the hairs. It is important to always gently blend the color with your fingers to achieve a natural look.

ich finde die einzelnen Videos wirklich super!
Nun habe ich aber folgendes Problem: Schlupflider und sehr tief angesetzte Augenbrauen. Wenn ich nun den Tipp befolge, den Lidschatten bis zum Knochen aufzutragen – also so, dass er auch bei geöffnetem Auge zu sehen ist – dann stößt dieser schon fast an die Augenbraue. Ich zupfe zwar immer die Härchen von unten weg, trotzdem bleibt leider nur minimal Platz. Gibt es hierfür einen Tipp?

Jetzt werde ich bald 78 Jahre und habe mich in all den Jahren immer noch im Stil der 80er-Jahre geschminkt. Ihre Videos sind wirklich sehr lehrreich. Ich habe schon mehrere Schminkvarianten ausprobiert, nach wenigen “Patzern” klappt es schon gut. Ich habe nur ein großes Problem, da ich auf einem Auge sehr kurzsichtig bin und mit der Hand dann beim Schminken das "gute " Auge verdecke. leider haben wir aktuell keinen helleren Augenbrauenstift im Sortiment.
Aber versuch mal den Stift nur ganz leicht auftragen und dann etwas in der Braue zu verreiben, dann ist die Farbe nicht ganz so stark.

@ANGELIKA Hallo Angelika, wir meinen damit, dass du am besten nur am unteren Rand der Augenbraue Farbe aufträgst und nicht auch oben kurz bevor die Braue wieder endet, denn sonst wirkt die Augenbraue oft blockartig und unnatürlich.

Sehr gute Anleitung. Ich verstehe nur diese eine Stelle nicht. :" Betone daher nur den unteren Teil deiner Augenbraue, dann sieht es ganz natürlich aus. Wenn du den oberen Teil deiner Augenbraue mit der Farbe betonst oder über deine natürliche Augenbraue hinaus malst…" was ist mit oben und unten gemeint..Danke für Antwort
