Shape and naturally fill in eyebrows

Eyebrows contour your face and enhance your eyes. For a natural result, it’s usually enough to gently emphasize the existing shape and fill in small gaps.

With these tips, your eyebrows will look well-groomed and stay beautifully defined all day.

Before filling in your eyebrows, shape them. These three tips make plucking easier:

1. Pluck after showering: The warmth makes it easier to remove hairs.
2. Pay attention to good lighting: This helps you see even fine and light hairs.
3. Give your skin time: Don’t pluck your eyebrows right before applying makeup. The skin may be red and sensitive at first.

You can easily determine the start, highest point, and end of your eyebrow with a pencil.

Place the pencil vertically against the side of your nose. It should point upward along the inner corner of your eye. This is where your eyebrow begins.

A natural eyebrow shape rises slightly for about two-thirds and then slopes down again.

Place the pencil diagonally from the outer side of your nose over your iris. The highest point of your eyebrow should be where the pencil crosses it.

Place the pencil from the side of your nose to the outer corner of your eye. Your eyebrow should end along this line.

With the Eyebrow Pencil Chocolate 121 you can now gently emphasize your eyebrows. Don’t hold the pencil like a regular pencil with the tip directly on the skin. Instead, use it sideways. This way you apply less color and can better control the result. Work with light pressure and gradually build up the intensity.

For an especially natural look, you should first color the hairs and not directly the skin underneath.

This is especially helpful for blonde or gray hairs. Apply the color with light pressure against the direction of hair growth, starting at the outer end of the eyebrow.

Then brush the hairs back into their natural direction with your finger. 

Now you can carefully fill in sparse areas. Keep the pencil sideways and use light pressure to make short, fine strokes.

Always follow your natural eyebrow shape. Especially emphasize the lower contour. A heavily drawn upper line can quickly look unnatural.

If your eyebrows are a bit short at the front or back, you can subtly extend them with individual, fine strokes.

Finally, gently blend the color with your finger. This prevents harsh lines.
