How to Make Your Hooded Eyes Stand Out with Makeup:

Hooded eyes can sometimes be a challenge when applying makeup, but with the right techniques, you can really make your eyes shine. Even if you don’t have pronounced hooded eyes, it can be helpful to know these techniques to visually open up your eyes.

We’ll show you an effective method, especially for hooded eyes, to beautifully highlight your eyes.

Step 1: Eyeshadow for Hooded Eyes
With hooded eyes, it’s important to extend the eyeshadow up to the brow bone so the hidden skin area becomes visible. Use a simple technique by imagining drawing a trapezoid on the back third of your eyelid.

Step 2: Highlight the Inner Corner
Use a lighter eyeshadow, preferably in a champagne shade, and apply it generously to the inner corner of your eye. This opens up the eyes and makes them look brighter.

Step 3: Blend the Colors
To avoid harsh transitions, use a blending brush and gently work the colors into each other. Hold the brush further back and use circular motions. Be careful not to smudge the eyeshadow downward, as this visually drags your eye down.

Step 4: Concealer for Your Hooded Eye
To lift your eye even more, use a concealer and apply it along the outer corner of your eye up to your eyebrows. Blend it gently to enhance the effect and visually open up the eyes.

Step 5: Optional Pop of Color
If you want to make the look more striking, you can apply a colored eyeliner as a liner. For example, a light turquoise shade can make your eyes especially glow.

Step 6: Mascara for the Final Touch
Apply mascara, focusing especially on the back lashes. This visually lifts the eyes and makes them shine.

It’s important to note that hooded eyes aren’t always visible when you look straight ahead. But in everyday life, we move our eyes and sometimes look down or raise our eyebrows, so your eye makeup will still be beautifully visible even with strong hooded eyes.
