How to quickly & easily apply eyeshadow:

You always see how beautiful the eyeshadow looks on others, meaning the eyeshadow on the upper eyelid? And you’d like to achieve that look yourself, even though you’re a complete beginner? Here you can see step by step how to do it.

1) The skin on the upper eyelid should not be too greasy or oily
Otherwise, your eyeshadow might settle into the crease of your eyelid, which doesn’t look nice! So just take a cosmetic tissue and gently dab the upper eye area to remove excess oil from your skin.

2) Prepare the eyelid with an eyeshadow base
The Shadow Base ensures your eyeshadow lasts longer and the colors shine more. It’s skin-colored with a slight shimmer and is not noticeable at all. Simply take a little from the jar with your finger and spread it over the entire eyelid.

3) As a beginner, start with subtle colors
A light brown or gray tone works best for this. You can’t go wrong with it and can slowly experiment with more striking colors.

Take the Eyeshadow Muskat 304 and imagine a line about halfway across the upper eyelid. To make it easier at first, you can even draw this line.
To help draw the line better, you can either lift your eye area with your finger or raise your eyebrows.
Starting from this middle line, draw a triangle toward the outer corner of the eye. Fill this triangle completely with the brown color.
If you’re a bit older, apply the eyeshadow up to the bone toward the eyebrow. Otherwise, the eyeshadow won’t be visible when your eyes are open normally.

IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the line from the outer corner of the eye to the end of the eyebrow. You should not apply makeup beyond this line, as it visually pulls the eye downward.

4) Blend the color with a blending brush
Now take the blending brush and smudge the eyeshadow in circular motions. Hold the brush not at the very tip but in the middle of the handle so it feels loose in your hand.

The more and longer you brush over the color, the lighter and softer it becomes.

5) Create a transition from the brown color
To create a soft transition from the brown color toward the eye, use the Eyeshadow Sunset 308 (or another light eyeshadow like the Champagner 305 or Rosenholz 307).

Apply this light eyeshadow in the front “triangle” up to the corner of the eye.

To create a smooth transition between the two colors used, use the blending brush again. Simply brush in circular motions along the edge between the light and dark colors. This way, the colors blend beautifully into each other.

That’s how quickly you’ve created a beautiful eyeshadow look.
To emphasize your eyes even more, you can apply eyeliner below and above (Tip: With our Eyeliner you have one product for both.)

And of course, finish by applying mascara to your lashes !
