How to apply expressive makeup to your drooping eyelids:
Droopy eyelids can sometimes be a challenge when it comes to applying makeup, but with the right techniques, you can really make your eyes pop. Even if you don't have pronounced droopy eyelids, knowing these techniques can help you visually open up your eyes.
We will show you an effective method, especially for drooping eyelids, to beautifully accentuate your eyes.
Step 1: Eyeshadow for droopy eyelids
If you have droopy eyelids, it's important to extend the eyeshadow to the brow bone to reveal the hidden skin. Use a simple technique to do this by imagining drawing a trapezoid on the back third of your eyelid.
Step 2: Emphasize the corner of the eye
Use a lighter eyeshadow, preferably a champagne color, and apply it generously to the inner corner of the eye. This will open up the eyes and make them appear brighter.
Step 3: Blend the colors
To avoid harsh transitions, use a blender brush and gently blend the colors together. Hold the brush further back and make circular movements. Be careful not to smudge the eyeshadow downwards, as this will visually push your eyes downwards.
Step 4: Concealer for your droopy eyelid
To lift your eyes even more, use a concealer and apply it along the outer corner of your eye towards your eyebrows. Blend gently to enhance the effect and visually open the eyes.
Step 5: Eyeliner for the eye frame
A soft eyeliner in a matching color can give drooping eyelids the right frame. Apply the eyeliner at the base of the eyelashes without pulling it down too much. This prevents the eyes from looking smaller.
Step 6: Mascara for the final touch
Apply mascara, paying particular attention to the back lashes. This will visually lift the eyes and make them shine.
Step 7: Optional splash of color
If you want to make the look even more striking, you can apply a colored eyeliner as an eyeliner. For example, a light turquoise shade can make your eyes particularly bright.
It is important to note that droopy eyelids are not always visible when you look straight ahead. But in everyday life we move our eyes and sometimes look down or raise our eyebrows, so your eye makeup will be clearly visible even if you have severe droopy eyelids.
